Most sessions last about 1 hour. A quiet room helps, with space beside the bed for the therapist to move, and about fifteen unhurried minutes before and after. Shiatsu can be done on a mat or a firm surface, with you clothed. For oil massages, the therapist explains how to set the space.
Hot stones in a hotel depend on the room being safe for heat. If it is not, a relaxing or therapeutic massage still works in the same visit.
